The LD abides by National and International rules or regulations and UN resolutions.
LD worked with the Lebanese Government and especially the Center for Education, Research and Development (CERD) of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MEHE) over a national study on the “Dangers of the misuse of internet on Kids and Youth”.
LD also executed projects with various National and Multinational organizations like MEPI/USJ/CRS program, Mercy Corps, Asfari Foundation, Prince Albert II of Monaco foundation/BEMED initiative, Ba7r bala Plastic initiative/EU, Kirkayak Kultur/EU, Euromed feminism initiative /EU, Green Developers and GIZ in various regions of Lebanon precisely in Akkar, Bekaa, South, Mount-Lebanon and in hotspots like Arsal and the Palestinian camps of Beirut.
After the Beirut blast, the LD distributed 54 Tons of cloths, medicaments and paint, donated by the Dutch people to the Lebanese people affected by the blast, through the Containers of Love organization.
LD monitored several cash for work projects implemented in Batroun and Akkar because of its expertise in the domain in coordination with the Municipalities of the respective regions.
LD trained the staff of several local and international NGO like the PU-AMI, DRC and the staff of the Ministry of Interior.
The domain of LD’s activities include income generation, soft management skills, cash for work, agricultural extension training and services, vocational training, environment, nutrition and food utilization, women’s development, rural development and livelihood enhancement programming.
LD works on integrating gender perspectives and on involving women in the Lebanese labour market through its “Women Livelihood Center” that is located in Akkar where women are given the opportunity to integrate in the labour market through the proposed trainings and the matching with potential vacancies.
LD has a bank account that is audited trough a Chartered accountant A.F.A.C. (Johnny Nehme Bureau).
LD staff is highly qualified and have long experience in training, project management and consultancies. Females constitute the majority of the LD staff.
